Absolutely not! The Abbey of the Hills hosts and sponsors events open to people of various faiths, and people hoping to find faith—and peace.
  • Who are the owners of the Abbey?
The Abbey of the Hills is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), thus there are no owners of the AOTH. It is overseen by a Board of Directors and day-to-day operations are overseen by the Abbey's Executive Director, Dcn Paul Treinen.
  • Do I need to be part of an event/retreat to come to the Abbey?
Many folks come to the Abbey for a group event, but a great many simply come to experience its peace apart from a group. We welcome individual stays for one night or multiple nights. We have various lodging room options—including our secluded lakeside hermitage cabins.
  • Are pets allowed?
No pets are allowed in or on the Abbey property. Service dogs with certified documentation are allowed. Please call ahead when planning to bring your service dog.
