Perhaps the biggest reason I love working here is the opportunity to meet so many holy visitors—of all faiths—who are simply coming to the Abbey to step back and encounter God and their neighbor in a deeper, more purposeful way…to actively seek His peace in their lives. In seeing that, it inspires me to do the same.”
I love visiting with the many people who have had wonderful experiences/memories of this beautiful landmark of faith. The stories of how our guests have “rediscovered peace” are truly inspirational. I am often overwhelmed with joy from those who truly commit to stewardship in some form of sharing their time, talent, or treasure. Whether large or small—all gifts of stewardship are so appreciated. Working in a faith-filled environment is also a blessing that I am thankful for every day.

I first came to Blue Cloud Abbey in 1984 from Minneapolis when the Benedictine monks were here. I fell in love with the place right away. I've always wanted to live at the Abbey and have made many retreats here. When the opportunity to be Caretaker came up, I prayed about it, and felt immediately drawn to this opportunity. I feel privileged to work here in this beautiful environment, serving the community along with this wonderful staff. I am very blessed by God.
