Day of Recollection

September 14, 2021

Topic:
Living a Devout Life
An Introduction to “the Introduction to the Devout Life of St. Francis de Sales”

The Abbey of the Hills Inn and Retreat Center will be offering a Day of Recollection.

As no sensible person would make a long road trip without first consulting a map, so the person intent upon gaining Heaven should first resort to a competent guide to reach that Goal of all goals. And no better guide to Heaven exists than An Introduction to the Devout Life by St. Francis de Sales (1567-1622), Doctor of the Church.

In the talks of the day, Fr. Tom Anderson will give an introduction to this Introduction-- a primer for this spiritual classic.

The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 3:00p.m. This day long retreat will consist of two conferences and Mass as well as built in time for adoration and an opportunity for the sacrament of Reconciliation. Lunch is provided.

Evening of Recollection

September 30, 2021

Speaker:  Brandon Clark

As for Me and My House:
Defending Your Home Against Pornography

The Abbey of the Hills Inn and Retreat Center is excited to now offer an Evening of Recollection.

It is a sinister plot: attacking our children using their own God-given sexuality against them. However, that is exactly what the pornography industry and predators do as they enter our homes through often unlocked and unguarded digital doors. The stark reality is that many parents do not know this is happening, or if they do, they have no plan to evict the evil and bolt the doors shut.

Are you ready to take up the challenge of intentional parenting in the digital age? There is no other option. The future of your sons and daughters depends on it.

The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:30p.m. This retreat will consist of a conference and built in time for adoration and an opportunity for the sacrament of Reconciliation.  Supper is provided.

COST:

The Abbey of the Hills is sustained in large part by the donations of the retreatants. For those who can give, your donation will help “pay the gift of peace” forward to help those with limited means.
