Peace and Love are available out there for all of God’s followers. When I chose the title, “Seeking Peace and Love in a World of Chaos and Hate”, I selected the verb “seeking” to demonstrate that we can take intentional actions that will lead us to the Peace and Love we desire and not just “find” it in a haphazard, or chance, manner by moving aimlessly through life’s journey.
It is my hope that you will leave this Day of Reflection with a few new thoughts and ideas, feeling empowered in your world situation to intentionally seek Peace and Love.

The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. This day long retreat will consist of two conferences and Mass as well as built in time for Adoration and an opportunity for Confession. Lunch is provided.

In a time of pandemic many are carrying a heavier load of stress and anxiety, a kind of fearfulness triggered by incertitude and worry.  There are more than 360 admonitions to “fear not” in the Holy Bible. Conferences for this silent retreat will reflect on scriptural passages to provide spiritual support in light of God’s continuous presence and provident care. God’s Word can comfort and encourage as we struggle with “reopening” economies and dealing with stress caused by “social distancing”, hypervigilance, and concerns about the future.

August 11th, 2020

Join us for the following presentations from Sister Emily Meisel:

  • Scripture, God's communication with us, can become very personal when we reflect on a Scripture passage and ask ourselves "What is God saying to me?" Our part then is to respond from our hearts as Mary did in the Annunciation.

  • Being led in prayer imagery and taking time to journal can open a person  to hearing God in very life-giving ways. Allow yourself to enter into this experience of deep listening.

The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. This day long retreat will consist of two conferences and Mass as well as built in time for Adoration and an opportunity for Confession. Lunch is provided.
