Rediscover Peace
…and so much more at The Abbey of the Hills Inn & Retreat Center. A former monastery, The Abbey is a non-profit retreat and event center located among the lakes and prairie hills of northeastern South Dakota. The Abbey offers hosted retreats and interactive experiences that reflect the peace sustained by Benedictine monks for more than 60 years. If you like to write, hike, pray or play – regardless of your faith – there is a unique experience waiting for you at The Abbey. Come visit us– as a guest, volunteer or simply take a tour – and Rediscover Peace at The Abbey.
Day of Recollection
Come to The Abbey on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for a day of peace and recollection. Every month has a new theme that you'll explore as you rejuvenate your soul. The day begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. with lunch provided.

Luncheon Tours
Looking for a great group activity? Interested in learning more about The Abbey? Contact us to arrange for a delicious homemade lunch followed by a presentation and tour.
